Microchannel heat exchangers are highly efficient heat transfer devices that achieve heat exchange between fluids through micro-scale channels (typically with channel equivalent diameters ranging from 10 to 1000 micrometers). Their design concept is derived from the "scale effect" - when the channel size is reduced to the micrometer level, the flow and heat transfer characteristics of the fluid will change significantly, thus achieving compactness and efficiency that are difficult to reach with traditional heat exchangers.
